Niki Kloss, Visual Artist
Born in Vienna (Austria) in 1955

Niki Kloss lives and works as free-lance art director and artist in
Vienna since 1975.
The artwork of Niki Kloss stands apart by its eclecticism. Painting, music, photography, computer animation and graphism, in form of c-prints, the different techniques all prove curiosity and the joy of experimentation. Borders are easily trangressed more than dissolved, the levels mingle partially. The used materials or techniques are taken for what they are, for Kloss a mean to scrutinize the ground on which he is situated in the present moment. Not more, not less.
After different stages related to the time situation in his pictorial creation, Kloss is convinced that a new abstraction is emerging, in his work anyway, but also in the general perception of contemporary art. The latest artworks of Niki Kloss illustrate this very convincingly.
